Everything you need to know about joining the Tribe of Travelers
Are there age restrictions on your trips? Yes. Most tribe members are busy professionals ages 30-49. With most of our travelers in their 30s and 40s is what makes Tribe of Traveler different. We have a specific age range because we want to bring together people who are truly like-minded and mature at a similar stage in their lives – this is our niche and we’re proud to serve it.
Do you include flights? We don’t include international flights but please get in touch with our team if you would like some help finding the best options. We are expecting our Tribe Members to come from all over the world, so everyone books their own flights, and we all meet on day one of the event. We recommend using Skyscanner for comparing the best flights.
My friend and I would like to book, is this possible? No, friends of Tribe Members are not welcomed to join an excursion a registered Tribe Member has booked. We however, we love when family and friends are encouraged to join the tribe. We want to emphasize that our trips are all about mixing with the whole group and making new friends, rather than sticking with your old ones. We have good faith that tribe members who are related are known each other outside of the tribe understand how we run.
Can itineraries change? Though we try to stick as close as possible to the activities we advertise, some things may need to be changed last minute, but only in order to give you the best experience possible. We promise that if a last-minute change needs to be made, it will be as incredible as what was planned previously, and we will always keep you as well informed as possible when on the trip.
My partner and I would like to book, is this possible? Couples are welcome to join the tribe!
How much free time will I have? Excursions really depend on the event, so we recommend reading through the itineraries to find your ideal level of activity. With that said, if you have booked an excursion that includes access to a villa and don't want to join in on all the activities, you don’t have to. Relax in the villa and be catered by our in-house concierge. Enjoy drinks in the hot tub or take a dip in the private pool if these amenities are available.
What size are Tribe of Travelers groups? Our average trip fill is 10, an ideal number to get to know each other one on one, yet with all the fun of a bigger group. A smaller group also enables us to develop better connections with the local community and find hidden gems which all the big tours would avoid.
How fit do I need to be to go on a Tribe of Traveler event? Tribe of Traveler events aren’t too strenuous. With that said, only you can judge your fitness levels and capabilities of doing certain activities, so we advise reading the events itinerary in great detail and making sure you’d be ok to participate in most of the excursion's activities. Of course, you can sit some out if you want, but we encourage people to try them all, not only to get the full experience but also so you get the best value for your money.
What's included in the cost? On each event page, you’ll find a breakdown of what is included. In general, the event price includes: *All activities, from private hot air balloon rides to island-hopping by private speedboat
Do I need to pay the total cost upfront? Tribe members have the perk of paying for any event in installments. A 25% deposit is required at booking. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the event is set to begin. How often you pay off your trip, and the amount, is up to you.
Can I pay on differnt cards? Yes. If you are booking onto one of our events and want to split payments across different cards, just give us a call and we can process this for you.
Do you ever run special offers? We believe that our events are excellent value for money, so we do not have any sales. What we do instead is reward tribe members for their loyalty with our FREE Travel Souvenirs.
I've booked! Why have I not received a confirmation e-mail yet? Congratulations. Have you checked your spam/junk? If it isn’t there, it can take up to 12 hours for our systems to process everything when it comes to securing your booking, so don’t worry. If you haven’t received anything from us after 24 hours, please get in touch and we can trace it for you.
What happens once I booked my spot? 1. Once the booking page has been completed and we have taken your deposit or full payment, you will receive an automatic confirmation email with your account details and requested booking. 2. Your event will either be ‘guaranteed’, ‘available’ or ‘final call’. Guaranteed – Your adventure has already met minimum trip fill requirements and is 100% guaranteed to go ahead. You can book your flights if you are coming from abroad. Available – Your event is near minimum trip fill requirements but not yet guaranteed to go ahead. Hold off making arrangements to meet in London until we have gotten in touch letting you know your adventure has been guaranteed as above. The latest this will be is 30 days before embarkment. Final call – Your adventure is ‘on request’ this means we need to check with our local team that your adventure can still be confirmed at this stage. This process can take 3-5 working days. 3. Log onto or create a Tribe of Travelers online account, this will give you access to preparation for the event which contains detailed information, a suggested list of what to bring and wear, and some other useful tips to help you prepare. 4. Two weeks before your trip, we will create a WhatsApp group where you can get to know your fellow Tribe of Travelers. Your Travel Host will be added 2-4 days before embarkment. The pick-up location will also be sent via this group.
